      Copyright is something that the creator can place on their work, it gives them the rights of the work and allows them to distribute the work as they please. Most people copyright books, songs, poetry, etc to ensure no one takes their work and profits from it, well at least legally. Fair use came from the Copyright Act of 1976, and if followed the strict guidelines, one can take sections without permission from the creator and use it for non profit education. In my own teaching, I would read works to further my knowledge about the subject matter, but when lecturing and making worksheets, I will make sure to put everything in my own words. When it is time for students to conduct their own work, I will make sure to make them aware of copyrighted materials and the consequences if they copied others work. I think it will be important for my students, as well as myself, to how we can use others work to benefit ours but we can't completely take it .     Cyberbull...

              Microsoft word is something many students have to become familiar during their school experience as it is where many essays and reports are written. I do enjoy using MS as it is very easy to navigate and their are a lot of options to format your report. Although this is true, I do prefer using Google docs. It is something that I have grown up on and I can safely say I am more familiar with it. I find it easy to share documents with peers and place documents in files. Everything is saved onto your google drive, so any project that you have done can all be found in that one place.           In the ISTE standards for educators 2.4 collaborator stuck out to me the most. It elaborates in how educators take the time to work with peers to learn from one another and progress in their studies.Collaborating is something so important as in school and in jobs you will have to be able to work with others.                         Hi!!! I am Katey Johnson and I am a freshman here at FSU. I am currently studying elementary education in hopes to have a classroom of my own. I am from West Palm Beach, Florida and previously attended an arts based high school. I have been dancing since I was 2 1/2 years old and it is something I definitely want to try to continue. I come from a big family, I have an older brother, a younger sister, and a younger brother.
