Copyright is something that the creator can place on their work, it gives them the rights of the work and allows them to distribute the work as they please. Most people copyright books, songs, poetry, etc to ensure no one takes their work and profits from it, well at least legally. Fair use came from the Copyright Act of 1976, and if followed the strict guidelines, one can take sections without permission from the creator and use it for non profit education. In my own teaching, I would read works to further my knowledge about the subject matter, but when lecturing and making worksheets, I will make sure to put everything in my own words. When it is time for students to conduct their own work, I will make sure to make them aware of copyrighted materials and the consequences if they copied others work. I think it will be important for my students, as well as myself, to how we can use others work to benefit ours but we can't completely take it . Cyberbull...
