In the standard LAFS.1.RI.2.5 for kindergarten, students must be familiar with navigating their way through the internet and websites in order to find the information they are looking for. I do feel ready to implement this standard into my future class room as it does call for anything too extreme. I am familiar with navigating the web and using tools they will have to learn to work with, so I am pretty confident in having to explain this to them. In addition to this, I feel having a good amount of patience to work with the students is key. Working with technology is something that is fairly new to all of them, so being gracious and going at their pace will be beneficial when learning these new skills.

I chose to look at Patriotic Holidays : Independence Day resources and this resources seems to be very beneficial to students. Interactive learning is one of the best way for younger students to retain information. So allowing hands on learning will help the new information about Independence Day resonate best. They will also get a taste as to why this day is so important and why we should continue to honor it .

It is very important to be a proficient internet searcher as a teacher. There may be a time where the class lesson moves into a more depth conversation and the teacher might need to research some questions in order to give the most accurate response back. Also if there is a question given about the topic at hand and the teacher does not know the answer she would need to search to find the best way to answer. When searching for an image knowing how to adjust the settings to find a certain color will be very beneficial. It will allow for the amount of images to be more specific for your specific float.
