Blog Journal #7
I found a teachers kindergarten website and it consisted of all the basic information a parent would need to know for their child. It was lighthearted and colorful, and consisted of graphics that would appeal to a young student. The website consisted of a school calendar, lunch options for the week, and an October calendar for the class. The website also has a list of school supplies a student would need for the school year, this allows parents to ensure their students have the materials to have a successful school year.

In my classroom, one of my main goals would be to stay as organized as possible, using an online calendar will help me reach this goal. This ensures that all upcoming events and important dates stay in one place, without the the fear of losing it. Not only this but using an online calendar you are able to be notified when the date is approaching. I also plan to use google classroom. This is a way for students to see all the work and hear announcements if they missed it during school hours. This also allows parents to monitor whats going on the classroom to make sure their child is on the right track.
For Assignment #2 we were asked to create a wiki page through canvas while working in a group. It honestly took me a lot longer to navigate canvas , then I thought it would. I found it very difficult to find the tabs we needed at first, everything looked the same, but thankfully we were provided instructions on how to complete each step. Once you do get a hang of where everything is, it is definitely a nice way to create sites and collaborate with peers. Canvas is a great way to place all of your classes information in one place and pos announcements as you need.
