  Microsoft is still a fairly new tool for me and I must say now that I know how to navigate it , I do enjoy using it. Doing assignments like these truly make me excited to have a classroom of my own and I know it is helping me prepare for when I need to actually make these for my students. Having a requirement of making 10 slides really taught me how to space the information out. I forget sometimes that our projected audience for these power points are our targeted grade and that an information packed slide can be to overwhelming for them. I had fun with this assignment there was not anything specific that I disliked.

    I learned how to further navigate diigo. As I mentioned in my previous blogs, I had some trouble being able to navigate diigo. Now having more assignments being down through the site, I find it a lot easier to navigate and more as a useful tool rather than a burden. This tool can be useful as a place for my students to be able to post their work as well as see others work. It is a great space for peers to read others work and it can allow them to see things they admire in others work.

When adults receive the job of becoming a teacher , they are now being held to a new technological standard. New softwares are coming out to help expand on a child's learning experience and teachers are expected to be up to date with everything in order to help navigate the child.Teachers now need to stay up to date with the latest technology in order to find different ways to incorporate it in their lesson. I think provided courses for teachers to become more familiar with the web and its new offerings would be beneficial to help them stay on top of this. But to help , as of now, they are provided with websites to discuss the new technological innovations.

        Due to the outbreak of Covid 19 many of us had to shift from a classroom to a computer when it came to learning. It was definitely a hard shift and experience filled with many trial and errors, but as time progressed we eventually learned the ropes. I liked getting more time in the day to get more things done, since we didn't have to travel back and forth from our home to school, there was definitely more time to prepare for the day and get work done after. I'll admit, I strongly disliked online learning, so the cons for me greatly outweighed the pros. I was not able to focus online, between my dogs barking often and my phone constantly buzzing , it was hard to stay on task. Not only this but there was constantly technology issues, the wifi would constantly shut down and this would cause our zoom meetings to not work. Blog Journal #6

 My initial experiences using diigo were definitely rough at first, but the tutorials provided on how to navigate tit definitely helped be figure it out.I understand why we use diigo for this course, but it is not my favorite to use. It is not the easiest to navigate as everything is thrown onto the one page and it feels very overcrowded.But it is an effective way for our class to be able to post and bookmark links for the whole class to see.  I have throughly enjoyed blogging as a reflection of what we have done throughout the week. I like being able to place my thoughts and opinions into our reflections each week. I feel like doing these blogs is a nice way to wrap up the week and finalizes our thoughts on the new material covered.I've learned how to not repeat myself when writing these blogs, in the beginning I have often found myself saying the same thing over and over.       In the standard LAFS.1.RI.2.5 for kindergarten, students must be familiar with navigating their way through the internet and websites in order to find the information they are looking for. I do feel ready to implement this standard into my future class room as it does call for anything too extreme. I am familiar with navigating the web and using tools they will have to learn to work with, so I am pretty confident in having to explain this to them. In addition to this, I feel having a good amount of patience to work with the students is key. Working with technology is something that is fairly new to all of them, so being gracious and going at their pace will be beneficial when learning these new skills.
